So here we are once again, MERCURY IS IN RETROGRADE and I am already feeling the effects.
As it comes around (and believe me it does, several times a year) I live in dread for what can go wrong….. very negative of me, I know. But here is the thing, it really does play havoc in my life and the lives of those close to me, as a flow effect.
Why do I dread it?
I travel a lot and Mercury in Retrograde can affect travel plans with delays, lost luggage etc.
Why else? Because I love electronics and Mercury in Retrograde can effect electronics, I mean even my car has electronics, and a lot of my work is done with a laptop, iPad or iPhone … think Skype, zoom, and FaceTime for readings …. think electronic calendar and social media.
Why else? Mercury in Retrograde effects communication…. a big part of my job. AND let’s not get started on contracts! I find myself waiting to place an order with my printer until after Mercury goes out of retrograde so as not to affect the order or the delivery.
This period of time certainly teaches me patience. I have consulted with a world-leading Astrologist who has explained that it is in my chart and that I need to protect myself with Peridot.
Well, I have done that and maybe to excess.
Peridot ring on … check.
Peridot bracelet on …. check.
Oh wait, let me see I think I now need a peridot necklace …. a great excuse to get one… ha ha.
Seriously though, the retrograde cycle can be a blessing as well. It tends to reveal what is not working properly, and although it can contribute to delays and serious frustrations, it can also reveal issues that are important to resolve or fix.
Hmmmm my computer plays up every time Mercury is in Retrograde … time for an upgrade?
It is actually a good time to deal with what has been put on the back burner or to finish what has already been started much earlier.
It is a good time for reflective and creative writing, spiritual work and completing long overdue tasks. I guess it’s time to clean out my wardrobe.
